DVD Synopsis and information:
One father is a man that lives in a Bronx neighborhood. Another man is the gangster who owns it. The devoted father does battle with the local crime boss for the life and soul of his only son. The mean streets of the Bronx in New York is a tough place for a child to grow up. You must learn fast or lose everything you've got. Lorenzo (played by Robert DeNiro) has a son, Calogero, who has to learn about the virtues of hard, honest work from his father who owns nothing but his integrity and his seat on the bus he drives. The two worlds are
only a city block apart but the difference is enormous and Calogero
about to learn that these streets run in two completely different
directions. Every cent of easy money obtained there is a tough and often
dangerous and even deadly lesson to be learned.
Calogero learns about easy money and the fast life on the Bronx streets from Sonny, the man who owns them, a mobster and a fascinating character. Calogero must now choose between earning respect the hard way like his father has or commanding by fear like Sonny does. The gangster life is always one step away from a broken bottle, a knife, a pistol whipping or a shotgun blast, one good young man is torn between these two worlds. A Bronx Tale DVD is a fantastic directorial debut by Robert De Niro and a great film about gangsters and life in the Bronx in the 60s and 70s.
De Niro and Palminteri are magnificent in A Bronx Tale DVD. A Bronx Tale DVD is a wonderful period film and a fantastic directorial debut for Robert De Niro. A Bronx Tale DVD is the directorial debut of Robert DeNiro and his first effort is terrific. This is a timeless classic gangster movie and a fantastic directorial debut of DeNiro.
