A very strong willed and Independent Frances Lacey (Bates) is absolutely determined to turn her family's hard times into overdue prosperity. Frances is completely fed up with her supervisor being bossy and hard to please. Frances' eldest son (Ed Furlong) increasing delinquency at school in LA is becoming a big problem. She makes the decision to pack up all her kids and move in to a very old and beat up Plymouth and heads east. Most would think Frances Lacey looks like a woman bound for nowhere in particular, but this is one super tough lady that is definitely got a destination in, the American dream and A Home Of Our Own DVD! A Home Of Our Own DVD is another terrific performance by Kathy Bates. A Home Of Our Own DVD is a great American drama.
