A
simple love story about a A rural Texas town high-school principal,
Charlotte Bain, played by Christine Lahti, that just so happens to still
live at home with her mom. Charlotte shakes some spice on her life in a
way that even she never expected when she says yes to go on a date with
a Hispanic custodian, played by Ruben Blades, from her school. This is a
very sweet romance story that does have an element of class and race
relations that we all deal with to this day. A sometimes fun and
sometimes sad RomCom. The movie has a message along with tugging at your
heart strings.
Lahti and Blades are terrific in this early 90s
love story. After 20 years later this south western love story still
burns bright. A really warm and touching romance. One of the best 90s romances caught on film.
