Meet these three guys, they are nice and respectable older men that concoct a crazy plan to beat the system and rob a bank to break up the monotony of their lives. They are 3 kindly old men, played by George Burns, Art Carney and Lee Strasberg. They are indistinguishable from the mostly forgotten ranks of senior citizens that you may pass by on any park bench on any given day. The three guys decide to brighten up their dimming lives with a chance glory and going down in blazes - by sticking up a New York bank in Manhattan right in broad daylight.
The cast is a distinguished and award winning star group that includes the immortal George Burns, the legendary Art Carney and the classic Lee Strasberg. The trio manage to bring just the right amount of charm, wit, grump and comedy. The not quite yet over the hill band of desperadoes in this sly, stylish and funny and moving film directorial also features the directorial debut of Martin Brest. For laugh out load comedy Going in Style DVD is an entertainment steal and one you'll love from park bench to stick up to casino each time around.
