Laura Bell Bundy is absolutely surrounded by
a great supporting cast that includes the very endearing Christian
Borle as Elle's love interest Emmett. Also Orfeh as hairdresser
Paulette, whose singing is stellar, and the new to the scene Leslie
Kritzer as Delta Nu's Serena. Legally Blonde The Musical DVD is a great
modern musical and a joyous treat.This is very
girl-friendly musical extravaganza and the primary difference from the music of Wicked is that the score of Legally Blonde is amazing. This takes the concepts of the hit Reese Witherspoon movie and applies some very zippy and modern show tunes. This musical is the story of Southern California, pink wearing and loving sorority girl Elle Woods, who
squeezes her way into Harvard Law School and then goes on to show everyone that her pinkish appearances can be
deceiving.
You have no choice but to embrace this over the top cheer fest that is sprinkled with
silly and rather infectious energy. Some may say a bit of the musical numbers are a bit
derivative of Wicked, insert Positive where Popular was in Wicked, but
all in all the songs are hitting on all 8 cylinders. Be sure to check out the use of
a full on marching band on What You Want, very fun! Laura Bell Bundy, she also played Amber Von Tussle in
Hairspray, is magnificent as the charming Elle. Bundy delivers big time on songs like So Much Better. This is a can't miss effort and should be in any new musical fans
library! If you love Wicked Legally Blonde The Musical will surely
delight your senses. Legally Blonde The Musical DVD is excellent musical
entertainment.
Under her ultra hip and So Cal exterior is an smart girl who begins to
believe in herself that she can actually make it as a Harvard Law School
grad and become a great legal mind! Bundy puts her heart and pep into
this truly energetic performance. Great costumes and colorful set design
