A recently deceased adult film star known as The Love Goddess (played by the gorgeous Sally Kellerman) returns from beyond the grave to help a very nerdy teen (played by the always funny Patrick Dempsey) score with the gorgeous wife of the camp owner where he is spending the summer working. You can expect Dempsey's anatomy and mood to raise more than once. Dempsey is a hard core nerd but he needs a summer job for money so he goes to work during his summer break. Rudy (Dempsey) heads to a popular seaside spot, which is anything but glamorous, to his employment spot for the summer.
Meatballs III is hardly high brow humor but Dempsey, Kellerman and Tweed put in good efforts and there are truly some fun moments in this 80s comedy. The mean and horrid camp owner has taken over this pub and gas business, where Dempsey's pumping more than boats full of fuel. Dempsey always finds himself laughing stock of any situation. Rudy is incredibly awkward with the ladies and he is hoping The Love Goddess can help him nail down a few chicks for the summer. Sally Kellerman (The Love Goddess - Shannon Tweed) is only visible to Rudy of course. Sally has some magic but can improve his chances with girls so her wish will be granted at the pearly gates of heaven? This entry on the Meatballs franchise has to be close to or at the top of the group.
