DVD Synopsis and information:
The Applegates are a simple family that have found a new house and neighborhood to live in. They just so happen to be giant preying mantises that were formerly living in the jungles of south America that decided they needed a new place to call home. The Applegates DVD then move into a nice and normal suburban USA household. There is just one thing about them, they are disguised as humans, but underneath that are huge deadly mantises that are planning something big for dinner!. This plan may also be connected to Richard Applegate (plated by Ed Begley Jr) and his job at the power station perhaps. Stockard Channing is charmingly quirky in her role as Richard's spouse Jane Applegate. Their lovely daughter Sally (played by Camille Cooper) is also a mantis and forgets at times what she really is when she is with her boyfriend.

Begley, Channing and the rest of the cast are terrific in this early 90s comedic romp Meet The Applegates DVD.
