DVD Synopsis and information:
A powerhouse drama based on a true story about a teenage girl Laurissa Anello (played by LuAnne Ponce) and her mother Linda Anello (played by Shanna Reed) as they battle to have stalking outlawed in the state of Florida. Laurisa is a happy and bright 14 year old teen and she has caught the eye of Curtis Harper (played by Tom Kurlander) , a man in his 20s, who has some serious mental and emotional problems, who does umpiring for softball games and is also volunteer firefighter. Harper is continually hounding Laurisa and the Anello's soon discover that the local police are unable to legally do anything about his inappropriate actions.
Laurisa's mother Linda goes about filing a restraining order, which is ineffective as Curtis does not abide by this order. Over the course of the following few years Harper continues to stalk and harass Laurisa. Harper's behavior makes Laurisa fearful to go on to college. Harper also forces Laurisa to alter her lifestyle and causes her to begin to lose her cherished friends along the way. Laurisa'a mom, Linda (Reed), sets out to take on the legal system and get the the Florida State supreme court to outlaw stalking.
