DVD Synopsis and information:
Brian,
played by Jared Rushton, is taking a camping trip but suddenly the
pilot of the small plane has a fatal heart attack. The plane crashes in a
mountain lake and Brian somehow survives the crash. His journey of
survival and adventure has only just begun as he pulls himself out of
the lake and begins to assess his situation. Based on the Newbery
winning novel this film embodies the spirit and fortitude that Brian
musters to be able to continue on day by day in this harsh and difficult
wilderness. Rushton does a solid job at possessing some convincing
survival skills.
The isolation of his new home is only matched
by its stellar beauty. Rushton gives a solid performance and makes a
believable film with his portrayal. This film also makes for great
classroom instruction and discussion. Schools routinely us this as a
back up and classroom material. The supporting cast is good in this film as well. This is a great adventure film to be enjoyed by the entire family. A Cry In The Wild 1990 DVD is a great adaptation of the book for scholastic and entertainment purposes.
A Cry In The Wild DVD remains a terrific action adventure movie for teens. This is an excellent film adaptation of the novel that is frequently used by educators for teen students.
