DVD Synopsis and information:
The King Kaiser Comedy Extravaganza, known as the Cavalcade goes on in a moment. The star Alan Swann, played brilliantly by Peter O'Toole, is leaving the stage quickly. Alan says that he's not an actor but a Movie Star! Then he cowers from fright as he founds out the play is live! Directed by gloriously by the actor Richard Benjamin and inspired by similar incidents from comedic icon Mel Brooks early career. My Favorite Year is a fantastic comedy and the Golden Age revisited. A crazy and teary eyed hale to TVs by gone era. Oscar nominee Peter O'Toole plays Swann and does so with such ease and flair it's astounding. Once a sword fighting movie hero whose mug face was shown on fan posters worldwide, Swann is now mostly hammered on liquor himself. Now it falls to Cavalcade's rookie writer, plated by Mark Linn Baker, to keep Alan sober and alert. Stay tuned.
O Toole is amazing in this My Favorite Year DVD. My Favorite Year DVD is an excellent comedy and Peter O'Toole is fantastic.
